There are a lot of forgotten relics, forsaken lands, and forbidden arts lost to the waves and time. The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Legal methods of acquiring information and research materials may or may not be followed. The crew is also incredibly inclined towards Moon-themes and most of them are bibliophiles.

The mods are encouraging exploration. What kind of place would you guys like to see the Phantom Moon travel to? Will likely happen in the second half of the month after the Leviathans leave the 'resort' island.
Also for those doing research (of any kind), what progress is happening/do you want to see happening and would like to have a thread with someone on crew with to move it forward?
Toge's in it for the adventure so he's good with wherever they end up.
It should be noted however that Toge's unique verbal responses will be absent for the entirety of January, on account of him snapping his vocal cords near the end of December. He will be completely mute and relying on his shellphone a lot more.
He will be cooking hearty dishes like stew and curry, and there will definitely be some apple desserts on the menu this month.
Since Rem mentioned building an engine to create an exploration vehicle, Emet will probably work on making some kind of basic underwater drone. There's a boy he met who was very keen on developing heated flooring so he is grudgingly going to use his prototype drone/s to seek out unusual heat signatures during slower travelling days.
me and Leo talked about Dojima and Turo helping with the Wolf pups, namely because neither of them want to see the animals culled/hey those collars would be useful for Turo's Pokemon/cat.
Other than that, pretty open. Dojima's mainly been focused on learning manual navigation/ship stuff and getting any gossip from locals that could be useful.
Be down for mysterious islands with plant life and yet to be discovered wildlife that could hold a lot of things to be discovered to anyone's interests. Vague- yeah, but all sorts of fun can be packed into an island for all of us to play with and make neat discoveries that could lead to larger shenanigans down the road. Ancient artifacts and how them being there could cause some rather neat natural changes to an island's ecosystem is right up Turo's skillsets.
Turo is still developing those Substitute and Poke dolls of his, and during this month will be coming out with improved versions of both. He's also working on using Magitech and a power source he isn't discussing with those outside of Rem and Dojima(the lack of power source discussion due to an agreement between Rem and himself; the danger if Tera crystals were used for weapons.) to make strong shields; for individual use that will gradually grow to a larger scale for ships- in the future he hopes that they may work to help protect Leviathans during attacks like the Ghost Ship that injured Eltrut and that of the Naughtilust.
The man is up for working on/helping with other projects as well.
We'll just have to make sure any artifacts found are officially found by someone other than G'raha. If he didn't find them, then he doesn't have to give any to the paladins. :P
••• rem managed to work on some magitek autocannons. with some characters of diff ships, plus kimmuriel in another thread. originally she had planned on destroying all of them, but she kept two prototypes. so they can be outfitted to the ship. like other magitek devices so far, they'll need to be given a magical charge so that they can work. ••• eventually, rem wants to make something that gives magitek a more reliable power source to function instead of relying on one's own magic or fossil fuels, etc, but uhhh she needs help manufacturing magicite (or this world's equivalent). ••• rem and turo made a powerful cannon last month and then destroyed it. so instead they're putting their efforts into making a barrier. ••• Re: engines. she initially chatted with emet about this! rem wants to start off making a propeller with an engine so she doesn't have to deal with sailing. ••• sometime during last month's event rem brought ketheric from baldur's gate 3 onto the ship to make decorative wreaths with her. so there were a few decorations on the ship. she's taken them down by now though! ••• On the 21st, she brought gifts to everyone's doors.
edit to add: down for exploring stuff. venturing to another island and whatnot! rem did acquire an artifact chalice last month, but the thread is still pending and idk if she's gonna get to keep it. if she does, she's gonna do some testing on it to see if it suits her interests. if it's not useful, she'll leave it for anyone else to work on (but again, pending the thread)
they can work on developing a shield this month for sure. maybe next month we can then submit a manta quest for beta testing on the shields like "DOES YOUR ATTACK BREAK THIS SHEILD, plz test and report the findings thanks"
they should also try to develop something else in place of the tera crystals (but with less output lol)
Oh yes that would be great- and honestly who wouldn't have fun playing with shields to see if they could break them? Best way to improve them, too.
they should, and take a few tries before getting something workable- can gather various things and see what they can combine to make some 'batteries' more or less.
yeah that sounds good to me! can't imagine a working model would be done until the end of the month tho, with all the other projects going on. gonna say that this will not be completed given all the stuff going on. maybe next month for the propellor!
