There are a lot of forgotten relics, forsaken lands, and forbidden arts lost to the waves and time. The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Legal methods of acquiring information and research materials may or may not be followed. The crew is also incredibly inclined towards Moon-themes and most of them are bibliophiles.

Ancient Tome of Forbidden Knowledge "A tome depicting ancient, forbidden arts from a long-lost arcane practitioner. The book is so ancient it's actually difficult to read or make out anything, and it also seems to have a habit of trying to bite the reader."; picked up on the off chance it has something in there that matches the handwriting from the Tombstone Rem is investigating and starting the magic research library off the correct way: with forbidden knowledge and violence (biting) - Donated by Dongfang Qingcang
••• rem managed to work on some magitek autocannons. with some characters of diff ships, plus kimmuriel in another thread. originally she had planned on destroying all of them, but she kept two prototypes. so they can be outfitted to the ship. like other magitek devices so far, they'll need to be given a magical charge so that they can work. ••• eventually, rem wants to make something that gives magitek a more reliable power source to function instead of relying on one's own magic or fossil fuels, etc, but uhhh she needs help manufacturing magicite (or this world's equivalent). ••• rem and turo made a powerful cannon last month and then destroyed it. so instead they're putting their efforts into making a barrier. ••• Re: engines. she initially chatted with emet about this! rem wants to start off making a propeller with an engine so she doesn't have to deal with sailing. ••• sometime during last month's event rem brought ketheric from baldur's gate 3 onto the ship to make decorative wreaths with her. so there were a few decorations on the ship. she's taken them down by now though! ••• On the 21st, she brought gifts to everyone's doors.
edit to add: down for exploring stuff. venturing to another island and whatnot! rem did acquire an artifact chalice last month, but the thread is still pending and idk if she's gonna get to keep it. if she does, she's gonna do some testing on it to see if it suits her interests. if it's not useful, she'll leave it for anyone else to work on (but again, pending the thread)
yeah that sounds good to me! can't imagine a working model would be done until the end of the month tho, with all the other projects going on. gonna say that this will not be completed given all the stuff going on. maybe next month for the propellor!
rem's investigation on the chalice relic is complete! it, unfortunately, is not helpful for her personal project, but it has a really funny effect. What you need to know about it:
••• The chalice is made of metal. It has a depiction of dancing crabs etched onto it. ••• Drinking anything out of the chalice makes the person want to dance... like a crab at a rave. You know the one. So if you wanna learn how to shuffle, here you go! ••• Shuffling like a crab will attract a small army of crabs that will dance with you. Inifite food glitch. Or money glitch if you wanna sell crab legs.
The chalice will be available for anyone to use! She'll put it in the kitchen area.
