The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Legal methods of acquiring information and research materials may or may not be followed. The crew is also incredibly inclined towards Moon-themes and most of them are bibliophiles.

Ancient Tome of Forbidden Knowledge "A tome depicting ancient, forbidden arts from a long-lost arcane practitioner. The book is so ancient it's actually difficult to read or make out anything, and it also seems to have a habit of trying to bite the reader."; picked up on the off chance it has something in there that matches the handwriting from the Tombstone Rem is investigating and starting the magic research library off the correct way: with forbidden knowledge and violence (biting) - Donated by Dongfang Qingcang
So I asked about the fire horse quest this month (February) and the mods got back to me with interesting results.
I am thinking of having Emet try and dig up the old ritual markings to help the horse. He's able to help keep it calm and also help with defending against the fire etc. but I feel like this is definitely a task for more than one person.
Edit to add: the reason I'm posting here is because he would likely turn to the crew first rather than strangers.
Daqiang is going to be attempting a ritual of his own at the altar that is intended to try and break the sleeping curse without the need to hunt down the amulet. He surmised (wrongly) that the horse, altar, and curse were related due to several factors:
Curse began shortly after the leviathans arrived on Avaleci
Curse could be delayed by the Smelling Salts found in the Sulfur Field of the Volcano (the one the Horse seems to be guarding that stretch out in front of the cavern the altar is found in)
Some writing Rem found at the altar mentioned the black disc that could help people under sleeping curses be free of them
Horse is fucked up (tm) in a way that could be described as a 'night mare'
Horse is clearly upset with the altar
Daqiang surmised that the transformation was forced and the horse (nightmare) was being kept 'penned in' or forced to remain in that form because of the sulfur fields (and the smelling salts that could be harvested there).
The ritual he's crafted as a counter-curse will fail to lift the sleeping curse, but will have an effect on the Horse. It won't be exactly what is needed, but the horse will respond to it "to indicate something of that nature is needed" - basically, he'll know that a counter-curse type ritual at the altar will be necessary to calm/free the horse from whatever is going on. The counter-curse ritual will likely help reveal some of the original ritual markings and he can surmise that removing the markings will help in some manner while also looking to design a counter-ritual based off of what markings are there.
And he can control fire so like, he can help with the lava and stuff - pulling the heat from them to force cool the flows and make them close up on themselves and the like. And possibly attempt to burn away the blood (though that might not be possible with as deep as the blood has seeped)
To add to this, assuming they can remove or destroy the circle somehow then Emet is absolutely able to send the horse back to wherever it came from since that is Emet's area of expertise.
Turo and his pokémon can at least offer some help when it comes to digging up ritual markings and staving off some of the fire. Their varied abilities and that he can withstand some pretty high temperature himself.
